Testing and reviewing some of our bike gear can be a bit tricky. You want a balanced point of view, without the guff. And running a test on our Tioga Bike tubes are no exception.... they just work. I did test these with the Maxxis Detonator's that I ran yesterday, and they stood up to the full pressure that those tytres can take which is 80PSI. They were comfortable to ride, but again, this depends on the tyre as well. They took a good beating without any issues.
A few tips for the uninitiated though, make sure that you inflat your tube so it's round before installing it. This ensures there's no kinks, and stops it from pinching when inflated afterwards... also makes it realy simple to install. Insert the pre-inflated tube into the tyre, align the valve with the rim valve hole and pull botth the tyre and tube over the rim. Then as you inflat, make sure your tyre and rim are aligned so that the tyre doesn't breach the rim. SImple.
