While the enemy of kids mountain bikes is typically sluggish handling and heavy weight whereas the ByK E350MTBG is seriously light. Like the entire ByK Range, this is not a scaled down adult bike. Every single component has been considered, tested, custom sized and tuned to suit the rider's profile. The unique ergonomic riding position and geometry offer a range of riding positions and adjustability unexpected at this size. ByK Bikes believe for a child to ride comfortably and in the correct position, the saddle should be padded and matching the size of their body - they have done just that with the 350MTBG.

And the custom-fit knobby tyres are not as fast-rolling as the standard E-350 but they don't need to be. You're buying a mountain bike that can handle the road but handles the rougher terrain even better. At just over 8kgs, the 350MTBG is approximately 30% more efficient than comparative kids bikes.
Safety
To make a children's bike safe, the rider needs to be able to brake efficiently and confidently. Alloy front and rear callipers with light action have been used for superior control and a simple and safe coaster style foot brake. The best of both worlds. The custom-sized V-Brakes used are calibrated for age, ability and ergonomic fit, and they are made of non-flexing, strong and light alloy. Alloy rims are a more efficient braking surface than cheaper, chrome-plated steel rims, and are therefore safer.
