The Wolf Tooth Floating Axle for Fox is engineered to deliver the benefits of the Fox Floating Axle System while being optimized to remove all excess material from the oversized 21mm diameter head required by the Fox Forks.

The result is a strong, robust, and accurate connection between the front hub and the fork without any compromises on weight.

Features:

  • Hollow head
  • Uses a 6mm hex
  • Designed specifically for Fox 36 and 38 series forks with 15x110mm boost hub spacing and floating axle design

Compatibility:

  • These axles are only compatible with Fox 36 and 38 forks that have been released since 2021. They are NOT compatible with Fox 32, 34, 36SL, 40 series forks, or Fox 36 or 38 forks released before 2021

Installation:

  • Tools Needed: 6mm Hex key; Torque Wrench with 6mm Hex bit; Waterproof grease; Clean cloth; Isopropyl Alcohol
NOTE: This Installation is best performed with the front wheel on the ground to hold it in place while swapping axles.
  • Remove Existing Axle Assembly: Loosen the pinch bolt on your fork’s drive side dropout using your 6mm Hex Key. Once loose, unthread the existing axle from the fork
  • Clean & Grease: Using a clean cloth and isopropyl alcohol, clean the axle interfaces on both the fork and hub. Using a waterproof grease, lightly coat the threads, head and hub interface areas on your new Wolf Tooth Floating Axle for Fox
  • Install Axle: Slide the Wolf Tooth Floating Axle for Fox through the fork and hub. Using a 6mm bit on the non-drive side of the axle (thread side) tighten the axle to pin the hub to the non-drive side of the fork. Torque it to 9Nm using your torque wrench
  • Lowest Friction Point Setting: With the axle torqued to the fork and the pinch bolt still loose, stand over the bike & grip the bars in a riding position. Push and compress the fork several times to settle the fork lower into its lowest friction point
  • Tighten Pinch Bolt: Torque the pinch bolt on the fork to 5Nm using a torque wrench.

Tech Specs:

  • Weight: 44g
  • Material: 7075 T6 aluminum
  • Diameter: 15 mm
  • Thread spec: M14x1.5mm
  • Overall length: 136mm
  • Hub Spacing: 15x110mm (Boost)
  • Tool interface: 6 mm hex key
