Building on the carbon layup found in the state-of-the-art 353 NSW, the 202 NSW features its Biomimetic Laminate which utilises mixed-modulus carbon types to maximise stiffness at the spoke bed and toughness at the tyre bed, mimicking the function of a muscle tendon. The carbon fibres selected for the outer diameter of the rim prioritise strength and durability to withstand impacts from the road, while the inner diameter of the rim uses higher modulus fibres to maintain consistent spoke tension under dynamic riding loads. The result is a rim design that allows for a sub-1100-gram wheelset that reacts to your every input without sacrificing durability and the aerodynamic advantage of its 35mm rim depth on the descent.
