YT Izzo Core 2 29in Carbon Black Magic MTB

If you crave precision, speed, and dynamic performance, the Izzo CORE 2 is the ride on which you launch your next singletrack attack. It’s a bike for climbs, descents, and all that lies between, with 130mm of explosive travel on tap to turn imperfect trails into flowing rollercoasters.

With its carbon mainframe and finely honed lines, the Izzo looks fast, even when it’s still. For this latest CORE 2, we’ve listened to the crowd and made some updates. We feature longer dropper posts across the size range and shift to Maxxis DHR II tires to steal traction from the loosest trails, meaning you can get more out of your IZZO across all gradients. We’ve kept the four piston SRAM G2 R for punchy braking performance, even when it’s steep, while the proven FOX suspension package provides the tuning options aspiring riders need.

Hybrid Carbon Alloy
The High Modulus carbon/aluminium hybrid frame crushes it on the trail, offering immense strength, lightweight performance, and an dynamic ride feel.

Flip chip
Situated at the lower shock mount, the Flip Chip makes it quick and easy to adjust the geometry according to the terrain and riding style. The low position provides for a more aggressive headtube angle and a bigger BB drop, ideal for fast and rough tracks. In the high position, the headtube angle is 0.5 degrees steeper and the BB is higher. The higher BB gives more ground clearance and better performance on longer steep climbs.

Internal Cable Routing
For optimal protection, all cables are routed almost completely through the frame. They are guided through the chainstay with internal cable tubes, while they are wrapped in foam as they pass through the main frame to reduce weight and at the same time prevent noise. All cable ports are protected against the ingress of dirt and water with cable plugs. Additionally, the cables are secured on the head tube with cable clamps and they are routed over the main pivot to prevent chafing.

Thirstmaster 5000
Both the newly designed Thirstmaster 5000 (835 ml) and the Thirstmaster 4000 (600 ml) FID LOCK bottle fit in the frame snugly and will ensure you always stay hydrated when out on a ride.

Frame Protection
Made from super tough and wear resistant PA 66, the downtube protector is bolted on and can be easily replaced. It wraps around the bottom bracket and thus provides extra protection for the sidewalls of the downtube from impacts and scratches. Additionally, the rubber chainstay and seat stay guards help prevent unwanted noise from the drivetrain.
