Kogel Hybrid bearings use premium grade Silicon Nitride (Si3n4) Bearings and premium hardened steel bearing races which are mirror polished to perfection. The result? A long lasting, smooth bearing which provides less resistance and is less prone to failures. These bearings are rated to the Grade 3 / ABEC 5 level - built to spin with minimal friction.
This bottom bracket is the same as Kogel's PF30, but with a shallower insert depth. Their standard PF30 bottom bracket uses a deep insert for the strongest possible connection to the frame. This causes problems on some metal frames with wires running into the chain stay or with the internal cable guides on some frames. For these frames Kogel have designed the PF30-L, same bottom bracket minus the insert guide and a few mm of contact area.
