The Legion have developed the Ice Vortex brake pads to maximise heat dissipation when braking to improve both the braking performance and longevity of the pads.
This is achieved by using:
• An over-sized alloy backing plate to increase the surface area conducting heat away from the pad
• Protruding Pyramid fins to funnel air flow over the backing plate increasing heat transfer
• Vortex “V” fins which speed up cooling by constantly replacing the heated air in contact with the pad
As a rider, lower brake pad temperatures mean you can apply the brakes with more force and for longer with reduced chance of brake fade. Keeping the temp low will also extend the longevity of the pads and help reduce noise when applied.
