• ADVANCED SL COMPOSITE: Frame construction begins with professional-grade raw carbon woven in our composite factory using the most advanced engineering and construction methods. Continuous Fiber Technology adds strength and minimizes weight.
• ONE-PIECE MOLD: This new construction technique uses a single bladder (as opposed to previous generation’s three bladders) to create a one-piece front triangle. The result is reduced weight without compromising stiffness or aerodynamic shaping.
• TRUNCATED ELLIPSE TUBING: Strategically engineered airfoil sections in the frame and fork, developed through CFD and wind-tunnel testing, improve aerodynamic efficiency, reducing wind drag at a wide range of yaw angles compared to traditional teardrop shaped tubes.
• INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING: Frame, handlebar, and stem feature unique cable porting, offering a sleek, non-cluttered appearance while maintaining the ease of adjustment.
• FULL COMPOSITE FORK: Advanced SL-grade composite fork features a symmetric design and aero shaping, along with disc brake integration and increased clearance for tires up to 33mm. This new design makes it lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic.
• AERODYNAMIC HANDLEBAR AND STEM: Lightweight handlebar and stem feature aero shaping including flat handlebar tops with raised edges to help riders maintain a stable aero position. Internal cable routing further improves aerodynamics while maintaining ease of setup and adjustment.
• OVERDRIVE AERO: The D-shaped fork steerer tube and corresponding spacers provide an extremely aerodynamic, easy-to-service system of internally routed brake and derailleur cables.
• INTEGRATED SEATPOST: Specifically engineered for competitive road racers, Variant’s refined shape and integrated design reduces weight, improves aero performance, and adds road-smoothing compliance.
• MEGADRIVE: An oversized down tube and top tube provide superior front end lateral and torsional stiffness. The precisely engineered, rectangular shaped down tube yields unprecedented steering precision and pedaling performance.
• POWERCORE: The oversized bottom bracket area features a fully integrated 86mm wide design. Symmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
