The Maxxis Aggressor is a versatile trail and enduro tyre typically designed for the rear tyre of aggressive trail and enduro bikes. The Aggressor has tightly spaced centre tread to improve rolling speed and perform well under braking. The tall side knobs provide ample cornering bite.

While Maxxis market this tyre as a ‘rear specific’ option, it’s not uncommon to see it on the front of some trail bikes. However these days we would recommend a tyre like the Dissector or Forekaster as a better front option for these types of bikes.

The aggressor is famous (or infamous!) for having a drifty characteristic. This tyre is definitely one of the more fun tyres in the Maxxis range, allow big predictable slides on Australia’s typically dry and dusty trails. The Aggressor on the back paired with something more grippy up front and you’ll impress all your friends with your Sam Hill style corner entries.

Characteristics: Excellent balance of rolling speed and grip, strong cornering performance, and very predictable braking.

Suitable Terrain: Dry, loose over hardpack, and rocky or sandstone trails.

Riding Style: Aggressive trail riders and enduro racers seeking a tyre that performs well in a wide range of situations without sacrificing speed.

Pushys Recommended Combo’s for Maxxis Aggressor:

  • Minion DHF Front / Aggressor Rear: A popular setup for aggressive trail riding, the combination of predictable front end grip and a faster rolling rear wheel
  • Assegai Front / Aggressor Rear: The go to for a fast and fun gravity-focused combo who want maximum front-end grip and a drifty and fast rolling rear wheel.
