KASK Protone Icon Helmet
The Protone Icon is KASK’s update to their popular Protone, with a focus on safety, comfort, and aerodynamics. It’s a good option for road riders who want a lightweight helmet that balances performance with everyday comfort.
Fit and Adjustment
The OCTOFIT+ retention system gives you a secure fit with an easy-to-use dial at the back, even when you’re wearing gloves. The vertical stabiliser is designed to sit comfortably at the back of your head and also works well for riders with longer hair or ponytails.

Padding: The helmet uses 3D Dry padding with Coolmax material – removable, washable, quick-drying, and designed to manage sweat well on long rides.

Chinstrap: A soft, faux-leather strap reduces skin irritation compared with standard nylon straps.
Safety and Construction
The Icon has an internal strengthening frame, which helps keep the helmet intact in the event of a crash. Like all KASK helmets, it’s been tested against rotational impacts (KASK’s WG11 protocol). The outer shell uses MIT technology, meaning it’s reinforced with a polycarbonate layer around the top, sides, and back for added durability.
Aerodynamics and Ventilation
Designed and tested in the wind tunnel, the Protone Icon balances airflow with aerodynamics. It’s not the absolute lightest or most ventilated helmet in KASK’s range, but it’s aimed at being an all-rounder—comfortable on hot climbs and still slippery on fast descents.
Visibility
Reflective elements at the rear improve visibility in low-light conditions.
